Its true that there was a team that wanted to sign Monnapule Saleng, and its a Big Team.
The team that wanted to sign Saleng is AL Ahly of EGYPT.
AL Ahly met with Orlando Pirates management to discuss Monnapule Saleng, and AL Ahly and Orlando Pirates agreed on a fee for the player.
Orlando Pirates then went on and made sure that Monnapule Saleng Papers are in order, the player was very happy with the deal and so was the club, coz the Club would receive Huge amount of money.
There was a stumbling block to the deal, coz AL Ahly wanted Saleng to be Percy Tau’s replacement, AL Ahly couldn’t sell Percy Tau on time and then sold him a bit later…
Pirates met with Saleng and his agent to tell them that unfortunately the deal has collapsed coz AL Ahly sold Percy Tau a bit later and now they are setting their eyes on something else.
Saleng got very dissapointed since the deal didn’t materialise… he then decided not to pitch at training to show his frustrations, coz the deal didn’t happen.
Orlando Pirates called Saleng and his agent and convinced him to come back to training ajd they promised him that he will be back straight into the starting line up, on the fixture against AmaZulu.
Saleng came to training that day, he only went to the morning training session and didn’t pitch for the afternoon training, the coach had already planned to put him in but he didn’t pitch for training and also for the match, that’s when Jose Riveiro fielded Mohau Nkota, and Nkota didn’t disappoint, he scored 2 goals in that match.
Saleng then continued with this behaviour, sometimes he would pitch at training then don’t.
Orlando Pirates tried to talk to him and his agent and said that, “we love you boy, we would like to see you back at the team,.please come back coz we still need you, we won’t hold you back, such things happen where deals collapse, but come back.
